I pitched an onboarding email journey for Adidas that centered around influencers from a larger campaign Adidas was running called “Creators Welcome.” The campaign showcased athletes, celebs, and fashion designers that brought creativity into their work, their game, or their lives.

Onboarding Email Series

The email series was designed to help bring customers into the fold. Using data already gathered, we personalized the experience, offered up relevant social material so that individuals could dive deeper into ambassador stories and gear, tied select gear to weather and the individual's location, used star ratings to showcase the top-selling items, used reviews to let customers see what other people in the community were saying, and served up promotions and deals as a welcome to the team.

Touches

Touch 1 - Featured 4 versions, each focusing on a different creator with its own unique color palette.  Served with one of the sports from the larger campaign.

Touch 2 - Invited the audience to explore different apparel within the Adidas brand. Originals or sports performance, shoes or clothing. It also allowed the user to set preferences to better target served content later in the email series.

Touch 3 - Dove deeper into one of the creators, allowing the audience to explore their social, and used a weather widget to personalize the experience, serving up relevant gear based on the current weather in their location.

Touch 4 - Created a sense of urgency with a countdown to use promotions. Featured reviews and star ratings from other customers so the audience could see what other people in the community were saying, and served up top gear based on their preferences.

Measuring Performance

Breaking down each email, we were able to measure the performance of individual sections and collect data for better targeting in the future.
